NA-63-783-6 andcompletion ofaproposed Military Standard whichembraces bothprojects. Product reliability, costs, andschedules have beenimproved onsomeprogramsbytheuseof digital computers toprocessandprint wiring and equipment lists. Thispaperdescribes aproject completed thisyearfortheU.S.NavyBureauof WeaponsbyNorthAmerican Aviation, Inc,Los Angeles Division which(1)extended thelistings produced, (2), addedtheautomatic production of pictorial wiring diagrams, and(3)prepared aproposedMilitary Standard - Automatic Processing ofWiringDataandDiagrams. Evaluation is madeofcomputer dataprocessing andfuture growthpotential ispresented. Exceptfortheproject reports, theresults ofthis programfortechnical development andproposed standardization arepresented publicly forthefirst timetothissociety. This,also,isbyagreement between theparticipants intheprogramand,of course, bytheinvitational courtesy oftheInstitute ofElectrical andElectronic Engineers.
