Until recently, webelieved that the improper-nonphysical solution never exerted any influence onthephysically observable field whenprinted-circuit transmission line wasexcit- edbyapractical source.Thisisincorrect, and actually that solution hassignificant influence. Inthis paper, therefore, wepresent someofthe numerical andexperimental evidence forthis important discovery.
