Neither theanalog studyofelectric machines(l) -(41) northemodeling technique infeedback control systems isnew. However, modeling amultimachine system withparameters directly determined fromtestsandchecking thesteady-state andtransient performances fromanalog studies withthosefromactual machine tests areverycomplicated butindispensable forcomplete modeling. Inthispaper aninterconnected four-machine systemisstudied. A dcgenerator driven byasynchronous motorisexcited byanampli- dynedriven byaninduction motor.Theamplidyne derives itsex- citation signal froma reference voltage, anda negative feedback voltage fromthedcgenerator, thusconstituting aconstant voltage control system. Thedynamic performance ofthesystem isstabilized withtheantihunting winding oftheamplidyne. Parameters arede- termined fromdirect measurements. System performances fromthe analog andfromtheactual system tests arecompared.
