REFERENCE BASES IN NATURAL LANGUAGE AND TECHNICAL LANGUAGE Workshop Notes

Susan Dressel · 1990

Workshop activities demonstrate distinctions between natural language and technical language relative to concept structures, defnitions, and reference bases. Activities also demonstrate the role ofrqerence bases in constructing concepts, in constructing meanings associated with what is read or heard, and in testing to confirm that interpretation matches intention. Workshop materials include activities, examples of operational definitions, copies of overhead projections, and an annotated bibliography.
