A Fuzzy Model Based Control Scheme and its Application to a Road Tunnel Ventilation System

h predictive fuzzy control scheme is presented particularly emphasizing the adaptaion mechanism for the knowledge basesd 1 inguis t i c predict ion mode 1. An adaptation mechanism is derived based on a set of fuzzy dynamical equations according to the mathematical dynamical system theory. As an application of the scheme, a road tunnel ventilation control system is described, which has revealed much better control performance in terms of regulating the air quality in the tunnel as well as reducing the electrical energy for the ventilation through the actual experiences.
