Hongwei Yang, Hongmei Zhang, Bingxi Wang · 2004
In tlie uidepeiident component analysis (ICA) algoritlmis, almost all algebraic methods and some adaptive methods cai be espressed as +'whitening and rotating. However. the whitening is just suitable for the simplest ICA model, it inay be necessary to develop new algorithm trainworks, which do not need whitening preprocessing. In this paper: A iiovel algoritlun for 2 sources is propel, which is fiist, stable, aid does not require whitening. Simulation results are presented, showing good perfonnance of tlie newt algoritllln. now becoming a new appealing technique in the fields of image processing, speech processing, biomedical engineering, communication and so on. A new two-source-tw2-oirtpnt ICA algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is fast, stable and, more importantly, this algorithm does not adopt the usual '' whitening-rotating framework. Experimental results show that the algorithm is effective and compares favorably with some ICA . algorithms in terms of speed in the case of 2 sources. >%
