Thedefinition ofmulticast routing wasalready described morethan20years ago.Manyrouting algorithms andthe evaluation ofthese algorithms basedonsoftware techniques have beenproposed since theyear2000. Multicast isrequired invarious environments withconsideration oftransportation quality and different requirements. Thismeanstherequirements ofmulticast service increase steadily andit's thetimetomeeteconomic and time-to-market withquality ofservice. Inthis paper, wedescribe the process ofanalysis, design andimplementation ofapplying Overlay Multicast Protocol (OMP)toapplication software according tothe arrangement withaclient that wanted toapply specific requirements. Inperspectives ofsoftware engineering, weshare ourexperiences anddevelopment process forapplying OMP.
