Printed Arabic Character Recognition using Neural Network

Haithem Al-Ani, Huda M. Abass · 2014

Character recognition provides a solution for processing large volume of data automatically. The purpose of the present work is to recognize different forms of printed Arabic characters written in three different fonts (Times new roman, Arial and Tahoma) using back-propagation neural network. This work was tested on a sample of printed character and the correct average recognition rate was 97%.
