I 1 I The subject of this article is the iniplementation of a hand-writteen character recognition task using neural networks. Two logic neural nehvorks - the WISARD (2) and the SOL (6) - are compared on the basis of their classrfication accuracy. The results obtained are compared to these of other researchers, to objectively assess the success of the neural nehvorks in classifiing the dataset.
