The Information andcommunications technology (ICT), whichdescribed asasource foranewknowledge based society, hasplayed animportant roleforbuilding afoundation forfuture society. Ithasbeenproviding variety ofknowledge basedinformation services andcompatibility enhancements of Information Society. The governmenthas promotedan expansion of theICT supplying foundations withRD those arebasedon dependency ofR&D policy inInformation & Telecommunication, whilebuilding theinformation-society in Korea. Havingidentified thediverse characteristics oftheR&D Policy fromthehistory ofInformation & Telecommunication in Korea, theresearch hasanalyzed theframework ofthose R&D policies on building theinformation-society intermsofthe institutional systemandpolicy operation. Theresearch proves thattheR&D policy ofsupplying technologies forlong-term period helps toachieve theconstruction andadvancement of ICT industry, theefficient operation of Information & Telecommunication business andservice, andtheactivation of information-utilization.
