Message from the CIT 2011 General Chair

2011

Cyprus is a beautiful island in the eastern part of the Mediterranean sea, renowned for its beaches, archaeological sites, food and night life, as well as the warm and sunny weather. The region of Pafos, where the conference takes place, is located in the western part of the island and it is famous for the Coral Bay beach, the archaeological sites of the Tombs of Kings and the Aphrodite baths, and the vivid nightlife of downtown Pafos. CIT has become a major international hub for academic scientists, researchers, and students as well as practicing engineers from different fields of information and communication technologies. Every year, the CIT conference attendees appreciate and benefit from the multidisciplinary exchange of new ideas and discussions of the state-of-the-art work. CIT has attracted many high-quality research papers spanning the various aspects of information technology, computer science and communication engineering. These papers highlight the foundational work that strives to push beyond limits of existing technologies, including experimental efforts, innovative systems, and investigations that identify weaknesses in the existing IT services.
