Thepaper deals withtheproblem ofrobust speed control ofpermanent magnet synchronous motors. hithe paper anartificial neural network (ANN)wasapplied todesign arobust controller. Anoriginal method of neural controller synthesis waspresented inthepaper. Application ofthis synthesis ensured arobustness ofthespeed control against variation ofmoment ofinertia. Simulation andlaboratory investigation results proved goodrobustness ofthesystem.
