Thedesign ofbiorthogonal filter banksusing thetransformation ofvariables technique isconsidered in thispaper. Thetransformation function isconstructed by usingtheParametric Bernstein Polynomial anda high numberofvanishing momentscanbeeasily achieved. In previous approaches, thetransformation function isdesigned independently oftheprototype filter butinthispaperthe transformation isoptimized withregards totheprototype filter. A least squares formulation leads toacomplex non- linear optimization problem. We present awaytolinearize theproblem andthenpresent anefficient iterative procedure tosolve theproblem.
