Kenneth Zdunek · 1986
The desi of the Motorola Ttwnked Radio System in use in tR 800 MHz band in the United States is reviewed. The performance of the Message, Transmission, and Quasi-Transmission ttwnked channel assi ent strat ies is compared. Based on studies o 3? ttwnked sys 7! ems in operation in the US, Transmission and Quasi-Transmission trunking are shown to be more efficient than Message trmking. The sipaling channel of the Trunked System is used to receive service requests from mobile and portable units and transmit back chamel assignments. If all voice channels are busy, requests are queued. Capacity requirements for the %%!Based systems are shown to be higher than channel used in Transmission those for Message TNnked Systems.
