Studies on the advancements of Neural Networks and Neural Network Based Cryptanalytic Works

A neural network is considered as a cryptanalytic tool by considering the task of breaking a cryptosystem as a pattern classification problem. The possibility of employing neural networks for identification of cipher systems from cipher texts has been explored rapidly. This paper reports the advancements done in the neural networks and figure out the key ideas of some potential works pursued during last 10 years cryptanalysis using neural networks.
