Computer Security Myths and Mythtakes "The REAL Security Problem is.....", or

A (re-)examination of some of the cherished beliefs about computer security and the impact they have had on the field. In addition to idenhfying the myths, examples of blind adherence to the myths will be given. It is hoped that the examples offered will be used by newer members of the field to at least make new mythtakes (and indeed, create new myths) rather than merely repeating those that have become institutionalized by their predecessors in the past.
