Inthis paperwepresent aflexible environment fordevelopment ofclimate control systems, especially aimed forlivestock building facilities. Matlab/SimuLink asadefacto standard isusedasdevelopment environment andisintegrated witharemotemonitoring andcontrol system, allowing users toactashumanintheloopcontrollers. Fordemonstration oftechnology maturity theentire systemisdeveloped using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)technologies namely: PC ar- chitecture, Linux, Matlab/Simulink/RTW, MySql, Apache and ssh. Thepresented system isconsidered asprestudy/case fora future industrial solution.
