RUT - Development handbook 9.14 Using Visual C++ - v 6.0-en

Oscar Nordvall · 2006

Visual C++ is a complete development environment for creating Windows applications. The purpose of an environment this powerful is to make it easy for the programmer to handle large amounts of code, to debug the program and to create a professional graphical user interface. The environment is completely integrated and the programmer can create the whole application without leaving the environment. To create professional applications some knowledge of C++ and Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC) is needed. In this document the tools in Visual C++ are described, the components of a graphical user interface are explained and both MFC and the version control system are introduced. The document will also cover the new .NET Framework which is a new technology that Microsoft has developed.
