Inthis paperweperformed assessment ofbothWavelet andSVDbased techniques andproposed ahybrid method bycombining wavelet andSVDforthefiltering ofnoise inHarmonics. Inthefirst stepofthealgorithm, Wavelet Denoising isapplied tothenoisy signal aspre-processing (Gross Filtering) step.Singular ValueDecomposition is thenapplied toadatamatrix formed fromthedenoised signal. Thefiltered signal isrecovered fromthesignal truncated SVDsubspace ofthis data matrix. Performance ofeachscheme hasbeenevaluated bysimulation onthe basis ofrelative meansquare error.
