Message from the ICSME 2014 Tool Demo Track Program Co-Chairs

Abram Hindle, Daniel M. Germán · 2014

On behalf of the entire Program Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Tool Demonstration Track of ICSME 2014. The goal of this track is to showcase the tools that software engineering researchers are building to make their research in Software Maintenance and Evolution useful and accessible to practitioners and researchers. This year we received 27 submissions and 14 were accepted after peer-review, for an acceptance rate of 52%. All these accepted papers will be published in the conference electronic proceedings, which will also be available in the IEEE Digital Library. As it was done last year, we requested that the tools be downloadable and that the paper submission include a video showing their main features. This also ensures that those who cannot attend the presentations can preview the tools. We expect that the video and download policy of this track will increase the adoption of these tools among practitioners and researchers. We invite you to attend the presentations, read the papers, browse the videos; and if one of them attracts your attention, download it and play with it.
