CIS Workshops 2007 Preface
Yuping Wang, Qingfu Zhang, Patrick S. Wang · 2007
The area of Computational Intelligence and Security continues to expand and develop, and now becomes an essential part of many fields. It is indeed one of the most interdisciplinary of the topics of today’s research, impacting upon areas from computer science to other engineering fields. Following the great success of the workshops of 2006 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Security (CIS’06) and CIS’05, held in Guangzhou and Xi’an, China, respectively, CIS’07 provides a forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners from both academia and industry to share experience and cross-fertilize ideas on all areas of computational intelligence and information security. This year, we have received in total 1278 submissions from 23 countries and regions all over the world. All of them were blindly and strictly peer-reviewed by the Program Committee and experts in the fields. Finally, 228 high-quality papers were accepted and included in the workshop proceedings. The workshop greatly enriches the academic experience and ideas of the participants from different fields of Computational Intelligence and Security.
