Jung-Hoon Hwang, Dong‐Soo Kwon · 2007
Inhuman-robot interaction (HRI), interactivity isacritical issue interms ofhowtheyunderstand eachother andwhat makesthemshare grounds tocommunicate. Thispaper proposes measures toevaluate interaction process using information theoretic approach. Themeasures aredesigned toquantify thelevel ofshared ground amongagents and their environment. Withthese measures, anexperiment is carried outinwhichhumansubjects wereasked tointeract withavirtual robot toassign tasks withvoice interface. The results oftheexperiments showthat themeasures areuseful inmeasuring theinteractivity ofHRI.
