Secret Data Transfer using Rotation Based Visual Cryptography and LSB based Steganography

Deepa Priya, Manikandan Sundaram · 2015

Visual cryptography is based on cryptography where n images are encoded in a way that only the human visual system can decrypt the hidden message without any cryptographic computations when all shares are stacked together. Steganogrpahy is the art of hiding information in other information. After embedding the secret data in the cover image, the cover image remains the same. In this proposed Scheme, the rotation based visual cryptography technique has been implemented for providing security for the secret data. The secret messages can be hiding in the 2 image shares with the use of random degrees of rotation. The secret image shares can be hiding in the cover image by using the technique called pixel value differencing in steganography. The advantage of the proposed scheme is the secret message can be embedded in the two shares of images with help of the rotation operation. High data security can be achieved by using the pixel value differencing algorithms in steganography.
