Practical communication systems require coding rates tobecompatible. Thisreport presents anewmethodtodesign rate-compatible low-density parity-check (LDPC)codes. The methodisbasedonlinear transformation anddifferent fromthe existing methods. Decomposing rowsoftheparity-check matrices canproduce theparity-check matrices forlowerrates. Itcanalso maintain lowerrorfloors forthecodesatallrates, andthecodes canbedecoded conveniently andefficiently. Itcanachieve high throughput inHARQ withFECsystem.
