Inthepaperwepresent asimple andfast procedure to evaluate theimpact oftheelectromagnetic disturbances, which can bepresent intheindustrial locations, on themeasurements performed byageneric PC-based measurement instrument. The method isconceived starting fromthedataobtained bysubjecting theinstruments tothedisturbances prescribed bytheIEC-61326 standard. Theresults showthat, evenunder heavy disturbances, thecommon goodpractices ofshielding andgrounding allowa correct employment ofthis kind ofinstrumentation.
