Theextension oftheusage ofthetac- tilemapsisconsidered inthepaper.Tac- tile mapsareconventionally usebyimpaired personstolearntheirlocalurbanenviron- mentmoreefficiently. What isofspecial in- terestislearning ofthespatial relationship amongobjects intheenvironment. Itwas shownthattactile mapsfacilitate thislearn- ing.We propose toeasetheprocess oflearning evenfurther bysupplying theimpaired per- sonbyaudible information abouttheobjects heissliding alongwithfingers. Forthispur- posethecameraandthecomputer areneeded. Theposition oftheforefinger isdetermined andtranslated intotheunderlying informa- tionstructure. Theapproximative generalized Voronoi diagram isproposed forthispurpose. Thedatastructure oftheedge, describing the object inthetactile mapisdefined. Itsstruc- tureenables tocontrol thelevel ofthe(audi- ble) information supplied totheimpaired per- sonintheprocess oflearning andtogetin- formedabouttheobjects aroundthecurrent position onthetactile map.
