The Reality of OS1

The trade press is full of stories about OS1 standards committee progress, industry gurus projecting the future, stories of gloom and stories of the promised land. As the Enterprise Networking Event approaches (June 6, 1988), what is the reality of OSI? Are there OS1 networks running? What are the customers expecting? What are the vendors building? In this presentation, the current status of the standards, the position of important vendors, the OS1 network service providers, and related pieces of the OS1 puzzle will be discussed. A projection of future trends will be provided as a road map through the OS1 jungle
