GPU-Based Visualization of Convolution Surfaces

This paper discuss GPU-Based Visualization of Convolution Surfaces. Singh and Narayanan have presented a GPU-based ray tracing algorithm for rendering implicit surfaces. In this article I describe the use of the method presented by Singh and Narayanan to render Convolution Surfaces. I have implemented support for point and line-skeletons using a polynomial convolution kernel. I describe how I have implemented this for both points and lines. Lastly I compare running times using different resolutions with different amounts of points and lines.
