The recent history has observed a significant incre ase in the use of unmanned vehicle systems in several areas of application (terrestria l, aquatic and aerial applications). The main justification for its use is the replacement of hum an physical presence in environments where there are potential life threats. Once the high inv olvement level of the population exposed to the effects of aeronautics influences the definition of requirements, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) can be considered the class of autonomous vehicles of which use and development are most affected by the requirements and restrictions from civil communities. Accordingly, it is vital for methodologies and tools to be applied to the development and validation of concepts and technologies used in unmanned aerial vehicles, particularly those that may have disastrous impacts on the environment they are inserted in. On e of the environments requiring special care for the introduction and subsequent operation of UA Vs is controlled airspace. The development of a platform for testing and validating technologi es, concepts and procedures to be applied in the development and operation of critical embedded systems is presented here. This platform will also allow courses and training to be offered for preparing skilled professionals related to the Air Transport System that, in a scenario of a w idespread UAV use, will be in direct contact with this type of vehicle.
