Inthis paper, weevaluate thechannel equalization performance ofdigital television terrestrial broadcasting for mobilereception. To improvereception performance under serious fading environments, high-order interpolation forprecise channelestimation isrequired. However,thesehigh-order interpolation methodsgenerally needan immenseamountof temporal memory.Toreduce therequired memory,wepropose a newchannel estimation methodusing spline interpolation. From theresults ofcomputational simulation, weshowthatoursystem improves theCarrier toNoiseRatio(CNR)to1.7dBbetter than theconventional methodusinglinear interpolation withthe maximumDoppler frequency of50Hzatquasi-error free(QEF), byadding slight memory.Moreover, wehavedeveloped aFPGA- basedprototype systemwhichhasshowngoodreception performance through vehicular experiments inoutdoor fields. a,~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . . . . an no
