Operationpropagation refers tothe mechanisms andpolicies used ingroup editors for theparticipants to notifyeach other of theirindividual editingactivities. The timingand granularity ofpropagation dependon differentrequirements such asnetwork bandwidth,session scale,computational powerof involved sites, andpreferences of eachuser. Here, we drawon some commondesign principles intwo group editors wehave implemented.
