In the present study, Dicarboxylic acid bis (4-acet ylaminophenyl) ester (AP1-AP4) and (4-acetylaminoph enoxy) acetic acid (AP-5) have been synthesized by the rea ction of acetaminophen with dicarboxylic acid chlor ides and chloroacetic acid, respectively. The esterification of (4-acetylaminophenoxy) acetic acid with differe nt alcohols yielded rest of the compounds (AP6-AP13). The chara cterization of the compounds was done by IR, 1 H NMR and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds w ere screened in vivo for analgesic, antipyretic and antiinflammatory activities. Appreciable activities wer e observed for many compounds.
