Review on Classification Techniques in Data Mining

Data mining is the knowledge discovery process by analysing the large volumes of data from various perspectives and summarizing it into useful information. Classification is the process of finding a model that describes the data classes or concepts. The purpose is to be able to use this model to predict the class of objects whose class label is unknown. This derived model is based on analysis of set of training data. . In this paper, we present different kinds of classification techniques. Those techniques are Decision Tree Classification, Bayesian Classification, Bayesian Belief Networks and, nearest neighbour classifier.
