Facial Expression Recognition Using DCT, Gabor and Wavelet Feature Extraction Techniques

Facial expression recognition plays a major role in pattern recognition and image processing. For the face expression recognition three phases are used face detection, feature extraction and classification. In this paper we study the different feature extraction techniques with advantage and disadvantage and find the recognition rate by using JAFFE databases. The Ababoost classifier are used to classify the facial expression and from the JAFFE databases 60% data are used for the training and 40% data are used for the testing purpose.
