A. Ravi, P. V. Naganjaneyulu · 2014

Denoising of digital images will be a challenging task in recent image processing applications. Previously there are so many algorithms have been proposed to denoise the digital images. Here in this thesis we had done an experimental on Synthetic aperture RADAR (SAR) images. images have wide applications in remote sensing and mapping of the surfaces of both the Earth and other planets. can also be implemented as inverse SAR by observing a moving target over a substantial time with a stationary antenna. Hence denoising of images is an essential task for viewing the information. Here we introduced image denoising techniques by using various spatial filters and will compared with the proposed wavelet thresholding techniques. Simulation results had shown the better performance with the existing filters in terms of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio and Mean Square Error.
