Efficient Cluster-Based Information Retrieval from Mathematical Markup Documents.

3 Abstract: The paper presents the innovative use of cluster based search for e cient mathematical information retreival. The search is realized by applying multiple clustering techniques on the mathematical markup documents. The technique makes use of cluster oriented search to speed up math information retrieval. Impressive results have been obtained as compared to similarity based search. With the use of cluster based search, the retrieval time has been reduced from multiple seconds to about 1 second. The quality of the result set has been found to be comparable to similarity based search.
