A Survey On Various Ontology Debugging Methods
Divya Thomas · 2013
Abstract— Ontologies play an important role in areas such as Semantic Web. A key problem when dealing with ontologies is the modifications of an existing ontology or when building an ontology by merging several ontologies. In many cases users have different local views of the domain. Inappropriate usage of terms together with natural complications when formulating and understanding logical descriptions may result in faulty ontologies. Different debugging approaches use different diagnosis methods to identify causes of the fault. The purpose of this paper is to identify the different debugging methods by performing a broad review of the relevant literature.
