Minimization of Churn and Load of Continuous Queries in P2P Networks

Bandaru Durga Sri, K. V. Krishna Rao, Malladi Lakshmi Narayana, Sai Aditya · 2012

This paper presents CoQUOS a scalable and lightweight middleware to support continuous queries in unstructured P2P networks. A key strength of this Technique is that it can be implemented on any unstructured overlay network. It preserves the simplicity and flexibility of the overlay network. It is a completely decentralized scheme to register a query at different regions of the P2P network. It includes two novel components, namely cluster resilient random walk and dynamic probability-basedquery registration technique The looselycoupled and highly dynamic nature of underlying P2P network. This paper focuses on the issues that are of particular importance to the performance of the CoQUOS system, namely Churn of the P2P overlay and Load distribution among peers.
