Wireless Sensor Networks and its Routing Protocols: A Review
Ashish Verma, Parminder Singh · 2014
A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of hundreds to thousands of low-power multi-functioning sensor nodes, operating in an unattended environment, having capabilities of sensing, computation and communications. These sensor nodes have some constraints due to limited energy, storage capacity and computing power. Data are routed from one node to other using different routing protocols. There are a number of routing protocols for wireless sensor network. In this review article, we discuss the various routing protocols with their important concepts.
