A Comment on “Pair-Matching Method by Signal Covariance Matrices for 2D-DOA Estimation”

A recent two-dimensional (2-D) direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method proposed by Wei and Guo has a flaw that the existence of sources with the same or nearly the same impinging angles along$x$-axis subarray or$y$-axis subarray will result in incorrect DOA estimation. This comment proposes a feasible solution to patch the original method.
