We present the quantum treatment of the neutral atom trapped by the two-dimensional optical dipole potential due to a nano-cavity mode. Our model is based on the pure optical trapping of a two-level atom inside a cylindrical quantum system. In particular, when a hole diameter of the cylindrical tube of the order of nano-scale, only the lowest order mode can exist, which means that the optical system operates as an exact single mode structure. We have assumed large negative detuning situation
