In this paper, a novel discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) based watermarking scheme has been proposed in order to protect the integrity of information against illegal use of multimedia data by third parties attacks. The proposed scheme has been used 2-level DWT to decompose the cover into sub band images. Logistic map has also been used to encrypt the binary watermark in order to provide high security. The encrypted binary watermark has been embedded into the approximate sub band image (LL’) of the cover image. The singular values (SVs) of the encrypted watermark have been embedded three times into the SVs of the LL’ sub band image in three different regions. The original watermark has been recovered by comparing three extracted watermarks bits. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme offers high security as well as good robustness against various attacks such as filtering, cropping, rotating, Gaussian noise and salt & pepper noise etc. The proposed scheme used peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and normalized correlation (NC) as performance tools. Analysis and experimental results show that the propose scheme is more robust and secure than other existing schemes.
