Development of Photo Sensor Using Magnetic Semiconductor.

Kazuhiko Seki, Toru Takahashi, S. Chiba, J. Shida, Koichi Murakami · Journal of the Magnetics Society of Japan · 1992

This paper describes the preparation and light response of the magnetic semiconductor photo-sensor (MSP). The MSP is composed of ferrite powder, binder, solvent and radiant flux absorbent. After the mixed magetic semiconductor fluid is printed by a spray gun, it is sintered at 800°C and its surface is covered with radiant flux absorbent. When the visible rays are radiated to the MSP, the radiant flux absorbent sucks in the light energy and the element temperature rises. Then, the MSP reluctance increases, so light-magnetic conversion is made. The light signal is read out by a Hall element. The MSP can be used for a photo relay, an illuminance meter and a photo coupler.
