In this paper we introduce the existence theorem and convergence theorems with respect to a $\phi$ -strongly pseudocontractive mapping in a Banach space and give the convergence rate estimates of Mann iterative sequence nvolving $\phi$ -strongly pseudocontractive mapping.By this convergent estimate, we show how to construct an iterative scheme with a desired convergence rate.
