I find it of more than passing interest that Enfield and Tromble [1970] would or could publish their paper on diode thermometers with no recognition or citation of earlier work.Diodes, both germanium and silicon, have been used for a number of years (e.g., Sargeant [1965] and references he lists).We have used them and
