The Model PC-I patch clamp amplifier developed by the authors is described in this paper.On the basis of the principles of operation, some techniques of suppressing noises, expanding band width and compensating stray capacitance and pipette resistance a re discused.We also present the technology of making the 1GohWO. lGohn probe that the mechanic switch gives effect to stray capacitance being sensi tive to high-valued feedback resistor. Under the condition of sufficient high SNR, the measuring error of the instrument less or equal 2 %.
