Research on Intelligent Visual Surveillance for Public Security

Intelligent visual surveillance plays an important role in the assurance of the public security, it is different from traditional passive video surveillance, it transforms the computer role from "Looking at People" to "Understanding People". In the paper, we review advances in intelligent visual surveillance, and present some future research directions.
