Signaling protocols using mobile application part for call control in the digital mobile network
Hiroshi Sawada, A. Nakajima, Koji Yamamoto, Shigeru Suzuki · 2002
The authors describe call control (CC) architecture with end-to-end signaling transfer capability (CC-STC) for digital mobile communications networks. CC-STC effectively controls calls to offer advanced services by allowing the call control function to be fixed in one mobile communication control center (MCC), called an anchor MCC, independent of the mobile station's position. CC-STC needs to transparently transfer the signals on the subscriber line to the anchor MCC by using interoffice common channel signaling. To achieve this transfer, the signal connection control part, the transaction capabilities application part, and the mobile application part are used in interoffice signaling. Layer 2.5, which has a capability similar to the signal connection control part, is defined in the subscriber line signaling.>
