FIXED POPULATION TRACKING WITH MULTIPLE CAMERAS
James Orwell, Gerald Morrison · 2003
This paper describes research on the estimation of the positions of players and ball in a football (soccer) match, from the data provided by multiple fixed video cameras. A framework is presented for integrating the evidence from multiple cameras. The fixed population constraint is exploited to treat players in the same team as interchangeable, and so observations can be matched with team components to maximize the likelihood of the observations. 1.
