Iterative algorithm for discrete tomography

Sarah Patch · International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology · 1998

The general limited-angle problem is underdetermined in discrete tomography. However, electron microscopy of crystals is a much more specific problem, and is subject to stringent mathematical conditions. Using a constructive argument, we show that under these physically reasonable conditions, data from only two discrete tomographic views are required to reconstruct the lattice. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
